Greta?
We
wanted a wonderful family dog that would protect our family. 
Bright dogs are such a pleasure in the ring, even in a drizzle! And
we wanted an all-around competitive dog that could show in lower-level conformation,
and could compete in agility, rally or obedience. We chose
primarily European bloodlines because they have a lower incidence of vWD and fewer
health problems overall. We also like the style better - most modern American
Doberman have been bred strictly for the conformation ring and lack power and
presence, which we consider much of the essence of a Doberman.
